Becherovka is a traditional and iconic Czech herbal aperitif that is often served cold and is therefore kept in the freezer.


To create a limited edition line that would highlight its unique herbal recipe, and would encourage aficionados to collect the whole range. Each bottle contains the same flavour, but each label was to highlight one different herb in the secret recipe.

Problem to be solved

How to boost sales among those who love Becherovka and know it well. To create a unified design that displayed the historic authenticity of the traditional liqueur, keeping its iconic bottle design, but with specific herbs differentiated to encourage collecting.

Our solution

Each bottle is differentiated by a colored cap and matching band across the lower label. We used an authentic line drawing of the herbs that at first appear identical, but the labels contain a temperature sensitive ink that “magically” reveals the single herb highlighted by each bottle when chilled.
